Corrib View Farm

Our Story

Galway B&B

The Scott - Furey Family | Three Generations

Galway B&B

Corrib View Farm Country Bed & Breakfast was built by Mary’s Grandfather, architect Sir Patrick Scott in 1894, who had come to Galway in 1890 to work on St Mary’s School in Galway City & Spiddal Church. He fell in love with Annaghdown after doing some repair work on our local church, and decided to buy some land with an old stone house. The house that we love today took two-years to complete.

This 130-year old farmhouse has been handed down through the generations. After Mary’s grandparents & uncle died, Mary’s parents started a B&B in 1964.

Mary eventually took it over and now runs it with her own grown children & husband.  This award winning establishment has a long association with Failte Ireland. Mary was one of the founding members of Irish Farmhouse Holidays in the mid 1960s.

In 1997 she retired, but she continues to welcome guests to our home with my husband, Cathal, and family.

Hemp Farm

In keeping with Corrib View’s environmental & sustainable ethos, Mary’s son, Conor, is currently developing the farm’s capacity to become one of Ireland’s leading legal hemp production and processing business’.

In 2019 he developed a section of the farm’s land to develop top quality organic Irish hemp, which is used in manufacturing construction products, high quality food supplements & textiles.
